Do Americans really have freedom?
I'm an American most of you who visit here are Americans so I pose this question. Do we really have freedom?
Consider this. If we are free why must we have a passport to leave America? What would happen if you had proof you were American, but had no passport and you wanted to leave America for awhile? I bet you could not leave so, then how are we free?
We have internet blogs, chatrooms, e-mail and other types of web pages, but now the FEC is able to deem a blog political and restrict it in many ways taking away our freedom. Again, I ask how are we free?
We have a government Of, By, and For the People in name only. Take the case of Mrs. Sheehan, mother of a fallen hero who fought and died in Iraq. She wants to ask the President a few questions and they said they may arrest her. How are we free?
Well, I think we must once again fight for freedom, my fellow Americans. This time we do it peacefully and legally by e-mail, calling, snail mail, and faxing the House and Senate and demand we get our freedoms back and that they repeal all laws that restrict our freedoms of speech, expression, and a right to question the government. Act now or we will lose even more FREEDOM!!
