With great respect and honor.

Let me start off this post by saying I hope all Americans had a great Memorial Day and that my friends around the globe also had a great day and night. I want to let all of you know that I am a family man. For years I took care of my mother and sisters and Annette.

Family is of vital importance to me, but on these holidays
Memorial Day, Independance Day, and Veterans Day, my thoughts are drawn to the Heroes of America, the living and the fallen veterans of America. This being the case here is what I did on Memorial Day.

1, I woke up happy to be alive and in a still free nation.
2, I went in my car ( Yes I always wear my seat belt.)
3, I went to a friends picnic and his Birthday Party.

4, I went in my car and drove to one of my local graveyards, it was raining so I stayed in the car and started thanking the fallen vets then I said wait a minute? These vets gave up their lives for me to have freedom and I'm not willing to stand in the rain? I got out of my car as fast as I could, went into the grass not caring about mud or rain and though I was the only one in the graveyard at that time I guess it was about 8:10 PM I thanked the souls and spirits of the brave men and women who have fought for America's freedom and those who never fough, but were willing to fight if called upon.

I spoke out loud and was humbled to be in the presence of these souls. In life they went to battle the enemy when called. Did they ask why me? No. Did they get someone else to go in their place? No. They said my country needs me and for this I am a greatful American in America's history we have fought many a battle and war, but be I agree with the war or not I have always thanked those who went to defend America and other countries. I love America and I love the freedoms we enjoy.

5, Though I was happy to have been able to visit with our fallen heroes I wanted to thank a living veteran for their service. I went to a local Wal*Mart where I figured at least one vet might be there working. I asked if there was any vets working tonight? I learned there was one and went looking to meet him. When I got to his section I was informed he was at lunch so I finished shopping and then looked for the vet. I found him and said did anyone tell you someone was looking to speak with you? He said yeah, but I thought It was a joke. I said no, it's no joke. I came over here to thank you for defending our country. His eyes went wide and he was very happy that someone would thank him. he thanked me! I said no, I am thanking you for if you did not do what you had done I may not be an American today.

It is I who thanks you with a heartfelt thanks. We talked a few more minutes and can you believe this? Nobody else thanked him.
Many among us have forgotten the meaning of such holidays like Memorial, Independence, and Veterans Day. It is not about picnics, fireworks, concerts, or being with family. It is about America's heroes those who have fought and died and those who still live among us who were willing to die for the cause of freedom.

LET US NOT FORGET OUR HEROES. LET US HONOR THEM EVERYDAY.

I must say In the graveyard I spoke to the fallen souls and said if you can hear me wherever you may be. Please help me and others who are on a mission to keep America free. Some may say I am silly to stay out in the rain to speak out loud to graves and no human alive could hear me. To the souls of the fallen I said I honor you, brave Americans, and I hope their souls could hear my words. Some may say what mission am I on? Read the post below this one to find out.

Note: Though it was pure coincidence about three minutes into the time I was speaking to the departed souls it stopped raining and the sun came out. Sure, it was only a coincidence, but it felt good and like what I was doing pleased someone in the paradise some call Heaven, or maybe these departed souls? Who know what lies beyond our realm of existence?
