What a wonderful thing to do for a friend.

My friend Steve's cat died. I asked another friend of mine if she would write a poem for him? She did and I think it's wonderful.

This is what life is really about caring enough to help a person feel just a bit better even though Joanie has never met Steve or even written to him in e-mail.

She was willing and happy to write this to help Steve know that we are with him in spirit.

Joanie Jaye, I thank you a billion times over for what you have done.

Dear Steve:
It is "always" very hard to say good-bye...
to someone or something we deeply love or care about...
but we know that with patience, and adoration, our love ones' will again appear one-day.
Your special adorable and one of kind cat
has lost consciousness before your eyes
but his good times with you will never die or fade away from your unforgettable memories'
Your wonderful cat, whom you adore from day to day
Who sometimes in your lap, proudly lay
Gives you comfort knowing that he is always there with you from day to day
But the sad time arrives when he appears to be no longer there with you.
Your wonderful cat
loves you a whole lot
"Most time" when - the one you love the most forces to say good-bye
It's normally without time or choice
but your special and wonderful friend "your cat"
is not really gone away from you
He wants you to know
That in spirit, he is always by your side...
and as he watched you from day to day
he still wants it to be - as it was
knowing that even though he is in another planet -
invisible to your sight and belief
he wants you to know that he is still there with you
And as always, he still wants to see you filled with joy
Cheer up my friend - don't you cry...
Your adorable cat, is spiritually by your side now and forevermore.

Thank you AJ and thank you Joanie Jaye for your kindness at this sad time. Yes, I feel a lot better about it now having cried out a lot of my grief but I am now worried about my Tiggy when she goes outside because I found out that Smudge was poisoned. Another cat was recently killed this way here too and I am told by a person who does animal welfare work that there are people who hate cats and don't care if they are strays or pets. I just can't understand such sick people. To my mind cats are like children so it is like murdering a child!

Nice blog AJ! Yes, I finally made it!
Hate your politics you know, but love the fact that you have a forum like this to honestly share your views and to let others share their's too.
Steve--I don't know you, but I can sympathize. I lost my eleven year old Labrador/Shephard mix Sirus last November. I was holding him when his eyes closed. It's a difficult thing for sure, but I tell you with certainty, all Souls--ALL of them--go on and live again.
To the author--a very sweet poem.

Peace!

GOING to heaven!
I don’t know when,
Pray do not ask me how,—
Indeed, I ’m too astonished
To think of answering you!
Going to heaven!—
How dim it sounds!
And yet it will be done
As sure as flocks go home at night
Unto the shepherd’s arm!

Perhaps you ’re going too!
Who knows?
If you should get there first,
Save just a little place for me
Close to the two I lost!
The smallest “robe” will fit me,
And just a bit of “crown”;
For you know we do not mind our dress
When we are going home.

I ’m glad I don’t believe it,
For it would stop my breath,
And I ’d like to look a little more
At such a curious earth!
I am glad they did believe it
Whom I have never found
Since the mighty autumn afternoon
I left them in the ground.

I liked your sons peom it was great! The family is doing fine now.

I just got back home about an hour ago from a film that makes 98 films now. Two more and I get 100 hundred under my belt.

I have acted in sixty nine films and twenty nine extra roles so I made 98 films to this date.

You should ask your son to write another poem Hope and Love.
